As hinted in SBINSIDER last May, the ever popular SaddleBrooke Variety Show will once again take over Desert View Theater. The show will be constructed around “Pages from The Great American Songbook.” Selections include Puttin on the Ritz, When My Sugar Sugar Walks Down the The Street, and selections from George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Johnny Mercer. Each act will be about 3 minutes in length so the audience will see and hear a fast moving show.
Your emcees for the show are Douglas Wolf and Fran Berman. The performers are all SaddleBrooke residents, most of whom have performed professionally at some point in their lives. The SaddleBrooke Singers, SilverBelles, Coyote Cloggers are some of the featured performers.
Amazing Fact: Due to COVID, the last Variety show was presented in March of 2018, four years ago!
Gail Nelli, Producer and Director, plans two performances and perhaps a 3rd if ticket demand is adequate. The two performances are scheduled for March 21st and March 22nd. The performance on the 21st is set for 4pm making it an easy way to see the show and have dinner out. If enough interest is shown, on the 21st will be a matinee performance. All shows are at Desert View Performing Arts Center.
