THC Delivery by Golf Cart?
VIA SBOUTSIDER| April 1st, 2023
Would you like to try recreational marijuana but are too wary of going into a dispensary and buying a product that you have never consumed because it was illegal for over 80 years and now is legal for adults to consume?
A new business is looking to add marijuana delivery service to SaddleBrooke and the Ranch. The delivery will be by unmarked golf carts so the delivery is discrete your neighbors will never have to suspect that the reason you are listening to rock and roll music at 140 decibels and pizza deliveries are much more frequent……
Arizona legalized medical marijuana use with THC in 2010. In 2020, recreational marijuana was legalized. The legislation requires licensed dispensaries as the source for purchase and very few dispensaries exist. The nearest location to SaddleBrooke is across from the Tucson Mall about 25 miles away. It is tucked away in a strip mall. The Curaleaf Dispensary has both medical and recreational products and are pricey. The authorizing legislation was botched in that it allowed taxes that are so high that an underground market for marijuana still exists-a fact that is blissfully ignored by the lawmakers. Still, the legitimate dispensaries are doing brisk business with sales crossing 1 billion for the first time in 2022.
CBD stores are closer, one is in the Basha’s mall and is part of a franchise system. On Edwin Road the Rawhide Feed and Supply store also purveys CBD products.
Home Delivery in SaddleBrooke?
Most residents of SaddleBrooke (average age 74) were not involved in the marijuana mania that took over the campuses in the late 60’s and early 1970’s. Anti-Vietnam war protestors smoked marijuana in public places risking felony arrest as an aspect of “speaking truth to power” and “down with the man”, so even with legalization, very little Marijuana is likely consumed for recitational or medical reasons. Perhaps the reluctance is the lingering social stigma of a substance that was a felony for over 80 years.
Reminds me of the ice cream trucks when I was a kid. Will they be playing music while coming down the street?
Yep, music by The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane, along with other similar groups.
