Senior Village Presents, the SaddleBrooke Wind and Strings Ensemble

VIA SBINSIDER| July 23rd, 2023

A capacity crowd filled the Mtn. View ballroom Tuesday, July 18th (half of it, anyway) with about 75 residents who gathered inside in a cool room to hear the Saddlebrook Wind & Strings Ensemble.  A bit under 2 hours later including a 10 minute break, the crowd left thoroughly entertained. This performance was sponsored by the SaddleBrooke Senior Village.
Summer conductor Todd Martin also has an extensive background in music as a performer. His roles include Director of Music Band/Organist and Choir Director at the Lord of Grace Lutheran Church, directs The Praise Team at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. He is also a nationally certified piano technician which is his full-time job. As a performer, he is a multi-instrumentalist, playing saxophone and as a pianist in the Desert Chameleon Community Band and several other ensembles. Unfortunately, Todd Martin will be leaving his post and the group is in search of another conductor.
According to manager Marie Lopez, Winds & Strings is a musical ensemble blending the sounds of string, brass, woodwinds, and percussion.  Consisting of up to 45 members, many are retired professional musicians, conductors and music teachers. There are actually several smaller bands within their numbers.
