SADDLEBROOKE — A Saddlebrooke man is facing charges after allegedly hitting and attempting to run over a woman during a road rage incident.

According to Pinal County Superior Court records, Kenneth L. Peterson, 74, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 19 to a call of a road rage incident where a man was hitting a woman in the face near Quick Trot Road and Eagle Mountain Drive in Eagle Crest Ranch. When deputies arrived a resident showed them a video taken of the incident. The video allegedly showed two SUVs parked on the side of the road and a man, later identified as Peterson, punching a woman in the face. Peterson then allegedly pushed the woman into her vehicle and then got into his own vehicle. He allegedly backed his vehicle up and then drove the vehicle directly at the woman, who had to jump out of the way.
