Pet Rescue Rocks the Fashion World

SUBMITTED TO SBINSIDER | December 9

Every year some of the resident of SaddleBrooke host a fashion show to raise money for their Pet Rescue efforts. Due to the hard work and the abundance of pet lovers in SaddleBrooke, this years event was a huge success. In fact the fund raising effort yielded a two-day show and sales of tickets, raffled items and Calle Rose sales exceed all expectations.

Here are a few photos of the event:

A Brief History

The Network was created in 2011 by a group of volunteers called the Wags and Walkers. They volunteered at PACC every week to walk the sheltered pets. From that we evolved into a Network of volunteers, rescue groups and shelters in both Pima and Pinal Counties. It actively supports over 6 rescue groups and the Pinal County shelter and refer over 16 different rescue groups throughout southern Arizona to potential adopters of pets in need. The group also assists in lost and found pets and work to rehome pets that are no longer able to stay with their families.
The Donations in Kind program was initiated in 2015 and from that it has grown to collecting over $80,000 per year worth of pet food and pet supplies to be allocated to Friends of Pinal County Shelter and Rescues, Cody’s Friends, Oracle Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation, Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary and Cherished Tomorrows Rescue.
