Mtn. Lion and Bear In SaddleBrooke, Bingo and Streaming Survey, Golf

September 11th (Monday night) will see the multitudes of get rich quick SaddleBrookers who will endeavor to win at the exciting and challenging game of Bingo. Sponsored by HOA1 and held at the Clubhouse, the games can net you a cool $500 or more if you are the lucky player. (Arizona law is strictly observed and no one under 21 or over 110 is allowed to participate.)

Critters in the Brooke

A plethora of animals have been spotted roaming the SaddleBrooke domain. Including  several sightings of a Mtn. Lion near the Desert View Theater. (Darby Baker reported no productions at the theater included circus animals.)  A Black Bear was roaming near the garbage bins at the Mtn. View clubhouse. Fortunately, the bear was on a strictly Keto diet and left unsatisfied.

In a media release, Yogi Bear, spokesperson for United Ursines of Catalina, explained that the wayward member of the association had a made a Boo-Boo and had been off-diet searching for a picnic basket to plunder. “We all know what can happen when you combine a cub with a ham salad sandwich addiction, ” added Yogi. No word as to whether Boo-Boo will be treated at Sierra Tucson or Miraval.

HOA2 Golf Renaissance

The major upgrade and reconstruction of HOA2 Mountain View golf course was the topic at the Desert View Theater Town Hall on 9-6-2023.  The project is being managed by the Troon Company which is a major player in the golf course industry. Still to be decided by the HOA2 board is the proposal to allow residents to walk the course with their animal companions.

Call for Candidates

Both HOA boards have put on the call for candidates to stand for office. HOA1 has openings for 2 members and at this point, 3 candidates have emerged. Monday, October 16th at 2:00pm DesertView Theater will host the candidates in a forum format. Residents still have until 4:00 PM on October 2, 2023 to submit their profile and platform.
