Exclusive update! Shooting Near SaddleBrooke
VIA SBINSIDER| January 21st, 2024
An angry property owner who tried to remove trash left by a homeless encampment was attacked by two of the vagrants and had to fire his gun to defend himself, wounding one attacker.
According to our exclusive, confidential sources, SBINSIDER had learned that the property owner was fed up with the amount of trash being discarded on his property and the rampant drug use. He used a caterpillar to dig a hole and was in the process of burying the rubble at the encampment when he was attacked by two men: James McLaughlin, and Clifford Bretthauer.
Police are still searching for Bretthauer.
Reportedly the attacker got on top of the owner and the owner then pulled his weapon and fired into the belly of McLaughlin. The bullet apparently entered McLaughlin and traveled upward into the chest. At this date, he is hospitalized after Pima county deputies arrived and he was transported.
The man shot is know to residents of the area. The shooting occurred off N. Twin Lakes Drive in the open space roughly behind Bashas and running north behind the Golden Goose, the retail stores frequently visited by SaddleBrooke residents.
The property owner has not been charged by the Pima County attorney, Laura Conover, at this time. She is know to be a progressive prosecutor and is facing a tough re-election from a fellow Democrat.
What is the purpose of telling us that Conover is a progressive ? Introducing politics into a news story is journalistic malpractice.
This is why: – The former U.S. Marine sergeant accused of fatally strangling Jordan Neely, a homeless man, in a chokehold in a New York subway car last month pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in court on Wednesday.
Daniel Penny, 24, was captured in videos recorded by bystanders putting Neely in a chokehold from behind for several minutes on May 1 while they rode on a subway train in Manhattan.
Just to get your goat😂
We just saw Alvin Bragg, a progressive, release alleged criminals who kicked and punched police officers in New York. I do think the politics of the prosecutor does have something to do with it.
Good story. But what is the point about politicizing comment about prosecutor? This obviously is a cut and dried situation for prosecution regarfless of one’s politicsl leanings.
We will see if she charges the property owner for trying to save his life in self-defense.
The patrol here in HOA 1 tells us that we are not in any danger. Seems like this is pretty close to home if you ask me. What about illegal aliens?
