Collision at Oracle and SaddleBrooke Blvd

VIA SBINSIDER REPORTER CLARK KENT| May 26, 2023

Friday morning, May 26th, a collision occurred between two vehicles at the intersection of Oracle road and SaddleBrooke Blvd. The accident appeared to have happened when a truck rear-ended a mini-van.

There appeared to be no injuries and traffic was restored to normal about 11AM.

The intersection is dangerous for SaddleBrooke residents trying to enter from the north turning east. The Arizona Dept. of Transportation refuses to install a Left-turn arrow and many accidents have occurred due to the confusion-and many near misses for the same reason.  When last contacted, the AZDOT replied that until the shopping center is built increasing the traffic entering SaddleBrooke, no changes are deemed necessary.

We’re still waiting. Do it now and save lives

Need a few more people to die I guess.During many years of living in the Mesa-Tempe area we saw the same as the valley population grew. It seems that the “traffic level was not high enough yet. It was regular gallows humor. The DOT, et al had just not seen enough horrible traffic accidents yet!
