VIA SBINSIDER | December -January Happenings
Lots of stuff happening this week and in the upcoming month. A quick review.
Tennis Center Activity
Today and through Sunday the Tennis Center in HOA1 is the nexus of great younger players from around the USA. The players are boys and girls 12-14 years of age and these players are the product of dedicated players and their parents who sacrifice much time and money with the expectation that the rewards of a college tennis scholarship and perhaps even more is in their future. There is space for viewing the matches but you better dress warmly.

Life Long Learning Event By the Institute for Learning in Retirement
We in SaddleBrooke are fortunate to have scholars in residence still willing and eager to share their knowledge from a life-time of career learning. For those interested in the Supreme Court and how it reaches its decisions January 10th features Mel Durschlag as the presenter. The lecture and discussion will focus on three cases: (1) Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization (the Abortion Case); (2) New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn. v. Bruen (the 2d Amendment Case); and (3) West Virginia v. E.P.A. (the Clean Air Utilities Case). The lecture will focus, not on the results, which are more or less widely known, but, more consequentially, on the analysis the Court’s majority used to reach those results. Finally, the lecture will conclude with some observations on the impact of these cases on the “legitimacy” question.
There is no fee, but you have to register to attend by clicking here.

What a fun chuckle…love your sense of humor with the entrance photo. It is the best laugh I’ve had all day.
