Bowl Creek Fire Does Little Damage

A wildfire that might have been caused by overnight lightening grew to about 1K acres was just north of the Oracle Junction. The fire could have threatened SaddleBrooke Ranch and Falcon Valley Ranch but no serious damage has been reported.

While the fire was far north of SaddleBrooke and Eagle Crest area, Pinal County PENS (emergency notification) sent a text to cell phone and emails to our residents to get ready to evacuate. Many residents, when learning the location of the fire, thought the alert to our developments was overkill and and caused unnecessary alarm.

Said one resident “I got the notice and thought I had to get ready to move my ailing husband and pets. My mind was racing until I turned on the TV and saw where the fire really was.”
