Biggs, Petersen visit SaddleBrooke Area GOP

Candidate for Governor, Andy Biggs joined by Warren Petersen who is running for Attorney General, appeared at an event in SaddleBrooke Monday the 28th. Hosted by the 4th District Republicans, attendees from Oro Valley, the Ranch and SaddleBrooke 1 and 2 comprised the audience. About 130 activists chatted, dined on snacks and drank libations as the candidates spoke and then took questions.
SaddleBrooke is a prized area for Republicans as its residents routinely vote over 70% GOP and have turnout rates of over 80%! In addition, this is a fertile area for political fundraising.
The event was emceed by Pinal County Sheriff, Ross Teeple.
Biggs is currently serving as Arizona’s Congressman from District Five which is northern Pinal County and most of East Maricopa County. Previously he was a state legislator, including a term as Senate President. He also won the $10 million Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. He would be facing Governor Katie Hobbs if he wins the primary. The other major announced Republican candidate is Karen Taylor-Robson, who has never held elective office.
Warren Petersen is currently serving in the Arizona State Legislature following Biggs after he was elected to Congress in 2016. Both men are lawyers. He is being challenged by attorney Rodney Glassman, who has run in many races but not made it over the hump as yet. The primary winner will take on Democrat Kris Mayes.
