AG candidate Warren Petersen visits SB GOP

Candidate for State Attorney General, Warren Petersen was the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the SaddleBrooke Republican Club. Petersen currently serves in the Arizona Senate and will have to win a primary to take on Democrat Kris Mayes.

Petersen made a strong case that he is the most conservative candidate in the race, noting that his primary opponent has run as a Democrat and donated to Democrat candidates. ” I have been a Republican and a conservative my entire life,” said Petersen, adding I have the most conservative ratings across the board by groups that monitor legislative votes.”

When asked how he could win a statewide race with his conservative record, Petersen replied that in his district he has attracted the majority of independent voters, which he noted is important because in most of Arizona the voting public is basically split into three equal groups: GOP, Democrat and Independents. “I listen to people no matter who they are and we may disagree but I do listen to other views.”

Petersen’s primary opponent is Rodney Glassman and is scheduled to address the GOP club in February.
