Possible new Congressional Districts

Every 10 years the census is compiled and new lines are drawn for Congressional, legislative and County Supervisors districts. This first preliminary maps were presented today. SaddleBrooke would no longer be a a part of CD1 but would instead be at the top of new District 6 which covers the south-east corner of the state. The district would include SaddleBrooke Ranch and Oro Valley.

Currently, SaddleBrooke is in CD1 and it represented by Democrat Tom O’ Halleran, and SaddleBrooke is on the southern edge. If this new map is adopted, SaddleBrooke will be at the very top and the district will include the eastern part of Tucson, down to the southern border with Mexico and the western border of New Mexico.
