Sheriff Lamb Runs Again

Mark Lamb, former two-time elected Pinal County Sheriff has decided to run for the Congressional seat being vacated by Andy Biggs who is running for Governor. CD-5 leans heavily Republican consists of the south-east corner of Maricopa County and the north-west corner of Pinal County, including Queen Creek and Apache Junction.

Lamb is well known politically due to his tenure of Sheriff and run for Senate, ultimately losing to Kari Lake in the primary. He was also a frequent guest on the reality TV show Live PD.

Many activists were surprised that Lamb, a big supporter of Donald Trump and frequent visitor to Trump’s Mar A Lago estate after the November election, was not picked for a top level job in the administration. It was assumed he would be near the top in the Department of Homeland Security. Whatever happened, Lamb takes on a host of other candidates in that primary, notably Jay Feely a former NFL star kicker and a local office holder Travis Grantham.
