Safe Pistol Shooting Class by a SaddleBrooke Expert

SBINSIDER EXLCUSIVE: February 23rd, 2025
Arizona law allows for citizens to carry a concealed weapon with a permit. In order to get a permit, (A.R.S.) § 13-3112 requires several things: 21 years of age, or 19 with past or current military service; not being under indictment for a felony or have an active conviction; mentally competent; a legal resident of the US and take a firearms safety training course.
Ron Gryniewicz is an HOA1 resident who has been a certified NRA instructor for over a decade. He regularly gives classes on gun safety at several gun ranges. A native of Pennsylvania and a graduate of Drexel in Engineering, Ron began a firearms enthusiast later in life. “My father fought in WWII and decided that guns were not going to be in his house, so I was not exposed to them until 2010”. After acquiring a pistol for home protection, he became a dedicated shooter and student of safety.
Ron and his wife Deborah are active members of the First Baptist Church in Catalina. A smaller congregation, it provides building space for Catalina Christian Learning Center, which provide children with pre-school and after-school on the church property. As luck would have it, the air conditioning unit in the church recently was replaced and now the AC unit in the adjunct building used for the kids, is beyond repair and needs a full upgrade. With summer fast approaching, it needs to be replaced.
Ron took it upon himself to try and raise a portion of the money by contributing his skills to a gun safety course. The proceeds will be used to replace the school building’s AC unit.
The location of the 1st session of the course will be at the First Baptist Church in Catalina-3505 Wilds Avenue. The second session is on the shooting range.
March 1st (Saturday) 8AM to 1PM at the church.
March 8th (Saturday) or March 14th, (Friday) at the Pima Pistol Club off Lago Del Oro in Catalina.

I’m under the impression that Arizona law changed about 10 years ago making a concealed carry permit optional/thnx/kwz
That is correct. AZ now follows US Constitutional Carry. 28 States do so.
That being said, in states without Constitutional Carry, AZ Permit can still be accepted.
(Certain states are not Const.Carry or recognize AZ, including, MA, NY, NJ, WA, OR, CA, HI, and maybe a few others.)
Having a AZ CCW Permit takes away some concerns of some people, and makes buying a gun in AZ much, much easier.
