Lake to Face Gallegos For US Senate, Ciscomani Prevails

Kari Lake, who lost the race for Governor in 2022, has prevailed over Pinal County Sheriff, Mark Lamb in the primary race for US Senate. Polling for the race released a week prior was nearly exactly correct showing Lake with a 12% advantage in the race which was very close to the final result.

Lake initially was not going to run for Senate and told close associates that in December 2022, which was part of the reason Mark Lamb entered the race, giving up a safe Sheriff post.  Lake started with huge advantages which included Donald Trump’s endorsement, money and the entire Republican establishment in Washington DC chiming in their support. She also benefited from the name identification from her prior effort.

Lake was underperforming Trump (+5) in Arizona recent polling but with Kamala Harris now at the top of the ticket (after an unprecedented Democrat soft coup of Biden,) the trends are undoubtedly going to change. Gallegos, her Democrat opponent, had no serious primary challenger and has been anointed by the DC elites and progressives as a key race for control of US Senate. Gallegos has been consistently leading Lake in polling by within the margin of error for several months.

Ciscomani Easily Defeats Winn

In a show of hubris that would make most Hollywood types blush, Kathleen Winn decided that she should replace Congressman Juan Ciscomani in CD-6. Ciscomani was elected in a very close race in 2022, and is set to have a rematch with Democrat Engle in November. Winn convinced herself, and a few others, that she could run in the primary and go on to defeat Engle. Republican voters were not convinced and with any luck, retired her from a political career. But, Ciscomani has to do some fence mending with the far right of the party, while he won convincingly it was not overwhelming and he needs every GOP voter plus a good share of independents.

Harris Jumps to the Top via a Soft Coup

Democrats are so desperate to defeat Trump in November that they pulled off a political maneuver worth of any Machiavellian thesis. With Biden’s approval ratings dropping steadily since his debate debacle of June 27th,  the powers of the Democrat establishment went into full panic mode and decided that VP Harris has the best chance of defeating Donald Trump. So, on a weekend in Delaware the soft coup was put in motion. Biden was told that his service in beating Trump in 2020 was over and he was stepping aside. Biden resisted as his entire life has been in elected office-a careerist apparatchik of the highest order. But, the Politburo threatened him with a 25th amendment over throw and he chose the more dignified exit. In his address to the nation he never specifically said it was his health (if he had, the question would rise as to how he cold continue serving as President) but vaguely remarked that the torch (JFK) was being passed to his VP as it was time for a new generation of leaders. Mitch McConnell and few other 80 plus geriatrics would likely disagree.

For Harris, her job is to distance herself from the border czar imprimatur, universal health care, DEI, no-bail and her Senate voting record which puts her to the left of Bernie Sanders. Do not worry Democrats her voting ratings have been scrubbed by all the left-leaning media so the casual voter cannot see them today. Also, she wants to ban plastic straws?

Since becoming the candidate Harris has not been interviewed. She has also switched her positions on many issues. She is now in favor of  fracking despite several Senate votes to entirely ban. She is no longer for Universal Health Care. She no longer wants to abolish Immigrations and Customs. She is now against mandatory gun buybacks. The list is long.

But she still  “supports” her mentor Willie Brown.

No matter what she says, there is too much video on the web that contradicts her current stances. We will see how the Trump campaign uses her own words in the campaign ahead.
