HOA Board Memberships are Contested

Both HOA1 and HOA2 will both have contested elections this fall.
HOA2 held its candidate forums this past week. The candidates focused on the past budgetary problems which created the need for a special assessment and pledging to restrict the Board’s ability to go into debt without a vote of the entire community. Mark Eckhardt is the current Treasure of the Board and is running for re-election. The remaining 3 candidates are new. Each of the candidates has impressive resumes in the private sector and with additional experience on various other boards.
There are 3 open seats which means residents will have to decide to retain one incumbent or install 3 new members. Watch the Candidate forum below:
HOA1 Board Election
HOA1 has two openings for the 2025 Board of Directors. Below are your candidates in alphabetical order:
Julie Adamen, Jo Ann Ellison (incumbent), Donna Gruninger, Don Taylor (incumbent.)
On Monday, October 28th at the Vermillion Room a candidate forum will be held. It begins at 2pm.
GM Coffee Friday, November 1st, 9AM
GM Vivian Timian will be hosting her Coffee for residents in the Vistas with special guest Ken Marich, board director Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR). ILR is a very popular community resource which provides classes on a wide variety of topics for Seniors. For example classes have begin for the fall session with classes in artificial intelligence, communication, history, music and more.
