Tucked away, around the corner, in the Casas Adobes Plaza, is a little breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant called TSP, or teaspoon. Open early and not open for dinner, this restaurant has everything you would want to wake you up in the morning. With breakfast and lunch classics, sourcing local eggs, dairy products, breads, coffees, and teas.
Do you like something with a southwest flair? Try the chilaquiles. Are you in favor of something more northern European? How about a Dutch baby? At teaspoon you will find sweet breakfast items, omelets, skillet breakfasts, savory breakfast selections, and eggs benedict.
Leaning more towards lunch you will find burgers, sandwiches, plates and bowls, appetizers or shareable plates, and salad. For this visit I tried the Signature Southwestern salad with grilled chicken, fire-roasted corn, avocado, tomatoes, and black beans over romaine lettuce. The salad dressing is a house made cilantro lime dressing with lots of invigorating lime. The salad was fresh and delicious, but it was the salad dressing that made it. It was also the perfect lunch-size salad. Goldilocks would have been happy with it; not too big, not too small, but just right.
You will also see a picture of the shrimp scampi pasta with a little southwestern kick. Cilantro and chili flakes gave it that extra something. It was beautifully presented and tasty.
Do you like a mimosa or bloody Mary to wake you up? In addition to premium coffee and tea, you can find beverages to enhance your morning experience.
Try something fresh with an international mix of selections. Try Teaspoon.
